I have many tools to brush my five cats, but one cat's fur is almost tangled. I've brushed her for a few hours every night since she was homeless five years ago, but she still has tangles in certain areas - on her stomach, on her hindquarters and behind her front paws. I hold the base of the most heavily knotted wool between the fingers of my left hand and with my right hand I comb the knotted wool with this tool. The tangles are easy to unravel. I use this method because I don't want to pull on their fur. Her coat looks much healthier and shinier since using this product. It is great!
