I used it in the bathroom to harmonize fixtures. Earlier wall lights looked like they were from the 60s or 70s. The diffusers are pretty strong and the metal part of the mounts isn't very thin. They accept what I believe are regular E26 bulbs and the cones were large enough to hold at least a bulb the size of an old 60w incandescent bulb. If you get them for a clean install they come with everything you need except a rough bracket box and a romex walkthrough to the box. As I said, I used them for a rebuild and didn't need any extra parts or parts, just a screwdriver.
