I've been using this protein for almost 8 years and it's great! I've used it for everything from building muscle (works fast!) at the gym to supplementing my daily diet because I'm a vegetarian (17+ years old). It has a colorful array of nutrients essential for supporting the muscular/nervous/immune systems. Tastes great and mixes easily with fruit, milk replacers, water, etc. The powder is very fine so keep that in mind when serving or you'll look like you just dusted the room! Protein usually requires other minerals and fats. to increase its absorption and bioavailability, and Vega has thought of everything. BCAAs help repair torn muscle fibers when you use them post-workout. This is the best and most balanced vegetarian protein I have found. And in the 17+ years of researching protein supplements, that speaks volumes. They've clearly researched how the protein works. It's great to see vegans making strides in developing healthier forms of protein. 4 Stars: I removed the asterisk because there have been many reports of arsenic being found in the Vega protein lately. I recently wrote to the company to see if their supplies had been tested and they assured me they had. Already in February 2018 there was an article about the detection of arsenic in Vega, so I don't know how to solve this problem. That being said, apple seeds and other whole foods naturally contain traces of arsenic, so I suggest looking at the bigger picture and "picking your poison." Literally eating an apple can also have the same effect, but the media seems to appreciate sensational little facts that aren't real issues. I'm not sure how many products are 100% safe and pure these days. If the milk does not contain growth hormones and milk ducts, their containers may contain BPA or other delivery chemicals. Everything comes with risk, and frankly, out of all the big companies that go out of their way to take charge of their processes and care about their consumers, I still trust Vega. I will follow this story but still recommend their protein.
