My Drink Tastes Like Metal Rust

I liked the smaller size for my small cup of coffee, I liked the price and I liked that it's "stainless steel". But after the first 2-3 uses, my drink had a metallic taste. I looked inside and saw a small chip where you could see the darker metal underneath. I think they only coat the inside lightly because when your hot drink is inside the flavor of the metal mixes in so you can taste the rusty metal. It's subtle but noticeable. I used it a few more times thinking maybe it would go away but it didn't so I throw it away. What a waste.
