I did quite a bit of research to find a decent quality tablet for around $250 and this one suits me. The size and form factor (very thin) is what I expect and expect from a 10 inch tablet. It looks chic and is very light. The build quality seems to be pretty good for a device with a plastic body. The screen is excellent - extremely sharp and bright, with an easily accessible brightness slider, which you'll want to use as I've found screen brightness is heavily dependent on how long the battery lasts. "Auto" brightness and slightly extends battery life. Enabling wireless also drains the battery quickly, so I only turn on the wireless when I need it and turn it off when I don't. In general I feel the battery. Life is good, if a little shorter than I expected. That's enough for almost a whole day, even with heavy use. Play it with no problems. It hasn't frozen or frozen in almost 4 weeks of fairly regular daily use. The only problem with this tablet is that its wireless antenna seems a bit weak - my phone can get a stable and strong wireless signal on every floor of my house. This device has trouble finding a usable signal when I move to a different floor or when I'm more than 20 feet from our wireless router and I have a fairly high-end router. So I can't give 5 stars. But overall I am very satisfied with the purchase and can give a clear recommendation. UPDATE September 11, 2013, I switched to a different "band" (frequency) on my wireless router (I have a dual-band Netgear 4300 that uses both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz standards) and was pleased to see that the signal strength has improved noticeably on the ASUS tablet. . I used to use a 5G signal but the antenna seems to work better with a 2.4GHz signal and now I can get a useful wireless signal throughout my house. Very happy about this - trying to revise my 4 star rating to 5 stars.
