I know a little about gold dollars Maybe a 'custom' series? I know what kind of problems you might run into, for example my example has a rather noticeable spinal curve. In my head I know they can do better because I've seen them. There is no reason anyone should have looked at this razor and noticed the twist/turn in the spine and blade misalignment. And I don't think it's acceptable for them to notice these problems and tell them they're "good enough." No, that is not so. I wasn't expecting a perfect grind, flawless grip, or even really impressive steel handling, but I had all the issues mentioned that I can live with, except for a twist/bend in the back and asymmetrical grinding along with that would be nice. a travel carry case if they took a little care to ship it properly rather than using the strap itself as packing material or something. I think this product has a lot of potential as a really good affordable Sheffield style razor if you just want to try the style before diving into collectibles or custom in the style. I'm happy to pay a little more for a more predictable product quality. I hate always feeling like I have to order 3 of everything they make to be able to choose what I think is 'good' and send the rest back. In hindsight this might actually be a good way to approach the QC question here, but overall I'm pretty good with repairs and I think I can take the razor to the point where it's not just a quality razor, it's such a bad one Razor is to look at. It can take me 6-10 hours or sand, polish and scale.
