I really love this camera. I had concerns about this after reading the reviews about it. Mainly battery issues. After receiving the camera, I found that when charging, the battery should be plugged into the outlet last. Then, when you disconnect the camera from the charger, unplug it from the power outlet first. Otherwise battery problems may occur. This is clearly stated in the user manual. It's very easy to use and compact, which is nice because as a mother of two young children, ease of use is very important. The flash takes a few seconds to charge, and when the battery runs out, the images will be blurry. I bought two extra batteries to have on hand. They are very cheap on ebay and amazon. Another issue I read about was with the touchscreen. The camera comes with a stylus that attaches to the strap and I've had no problems with it. The camera has many different settings that I still have to get used to and try out. Very good camera. would recommend.
