Like many others, the thought of a razor scares me, so I chose this battery-powered razor to avoid cuts. It works well but noticeably better when used in an upward (against the fibers) shaving pattern. Not noisy and small enough to fit in my travel makeup bag. It gets 4 stars because it's a bit difficult to disassemble the head to clean it and move it up to collect all the little hairs.
