I bought 2 of these hubs a year ago and they continue to serve me well! What I like about these hubs is that they continue to work even after the hub is turned off. That means I can still use my laptop with a mouse, external keyboard, flash drives, and possibly a portable hard drive even if I shut down my system during a storm. I don't remember my old USB hub having this capability. These hubs have more dedicated (red) USB ports than I know what to do with, and I swear my phone actually charges faster in this hub than it does in a computer. I'll check it out one day. One issue I ran into was how bright this hub is. Remember I bought 2 and they are both used in the same room, my bedroom. So that was a bit of a problem. Luckily you have the option to turn off individual ports, which can help, but I decided to take some black tape and cut a hole big enough for the USB connector but small enough to cover the parking lights , and that makes a big difference! I definitely recommend this center. In fact I already have!
