Because there aren't many reviews comparing it to the 3M version. Here it is: Softer than the 3M version (this was too soft for my liking), but firmer than the foam pad. Flatter than the 3M version, which might work better for most people, but if you're using a tall/vertical mouse , use 3M. Also flatter than most IME foam pads. - Not as wide/long as the 3M version, I prefer a wider width so I don't have to change the position of the pad when moving my wrist from left to right to use multiple monitors/computers - The depth is a bit bigger than the 3M version some people don't like it as it pushes the mouse further, I personally didn't care - material is smoother/not as textured as the 3M version but still feels premium. The 3M material is cold to the touch, this is above room temperature.
