For a few dollars more, I purchased this metal release handle instead of the plastic release handle and couldn't be happier. These are truly heavy duty. In my opinion, this will last the lifetime of the love seat instead of buying the plastic ones every couple of years when they always break. Be aware these are smooth and shiny black, not the dimpled flat black plastic of the original part. But they still look great.On a scale of 1 to 5 for how hard it is to replace the handle; I would call this a 1. It took me less than ten minutes. As a side note there are no instructions.but easy to find on You Tube. The only tools you need is a screwdriver and a pair of needle nose pliers to put the cable retaining clip on. Also, no screws so save the ones from the original handle.
