Slightly fake stone works best for vase filling

I have to say based on the picture I thought it was a much 'more 'stony' piece of styrofoam. Mine (large version, 5 x 5 x 7) is more square and looks more like a piece of granite or, you know, a piece of styrofoam cut from a larger square. I wouldn't say it's bad, but it's far less compelling than I was hoping for. I've seen smaller versions that are much more convincing.
