Desk looks great but isn't really very strong/durable. The formica board has product defects as you can see in the photo. The tabletop is about 1/2 inch thick, but the metal brackets it mounts to from the back of the desktop don't support the front. When you rest your hands on your desk, the top just isn't very supportive. I see if I don't support it, this table won't last long. A table would probably be better for a young person than an adult in terms of strength. I like the shape and style of the desk but they really should support a desk a little better for an adult who rests his hands on the desk while working. I'm going to buy some wooden poles that I can cut to fit/wedge into the front of the table from a metal stand and table to support it. I'll end up paying my kitchen hand to redo the formica, so I think the cost of the table is a little higher than it should be with the cost of repairing the formica and adding wood support posts. Disappointed with the quality but love the idea and style of this table they just need to make a few improvements for this table to surpass the quality. Just keep going down, even if there's nothing on it! Very disappointed! UPDATE: The top has now broken off the mounts and this is just due to regular adult use. This should be -5 stars as it's just rubbish and a waste of money. So sad!
