Suitable for 60lb Boxer Mix

My dog (Boxer x German Shorthaired Pointer) has a short, tough coat and when he's not pulling me on the bike he gets cold when the mercury drops below 25F. He also likes to splash in puddles and doesn't mind the temperature. I was looking for something with chest armor (leg armor as a bonus) to cover his hairless butt during our excursions (we also hike and camp in winter, which is mostly mild here but can get chilly at times). Size XL fits very well. He is 17 inches at the base of the neck, 21 inches from the base of the neck to the base of the tail and 29 inches in circumference. There is room in the back half for mobility, but there can be plenty of room in the front for extra wool. Layer. Definitely not intended for very deep chested or very large dogs. There is a Velcro tab that closes the leash attachment that looks like it was only meant for a step harness (not a standard harness with a loop on the fleece lining that runs down the legs). but not up to the collar. I found the easiest way to put it on: back legs, zip at the beginning, front legs, zip at the end He didn't tremble, but he wasn't super comfortable He doesn't move very well with it, maybe because of the static or the leg coverage, but hopefully will he get more comfortable over time and i can find a fix for the static.
