I wanted to buy a new RAM because I wanted it with RGB. However, I'm so glad I found this because it gives me the look I want without breaking the bank. First, it is very easy to install. The kit includes 2 strips of thermal grease, 1 gasket and an extra screw. To install, simply unscrew the 2 screws from the heatsink. On my own, I applied a strip of thermal paste to both sides of the heatsink, laid the RAM to one side, plugged it back together, and screwed it in place. That's all. My motherboard doesn't have an RGB connector, so I bought a Cooler Master RGB controller that uses SATA for power and plugs into a USB port. Thanks to this I was able to connect a RAM heatsink to control the color. I have attached before and after photos.
