Don't twist them. May not fit your vehicle.
It was a mistake buying them for my truck. The only reason I ordered them was because the Amazon website said they would fit my car, but they didn't. The tabs did not match the original fog lights on my '07 Colorado. Don't get me wrong, they fit in the plug and have great brightness, but they don't fit in the mount. I had to improvise a bit to keep them. Another major issue to be aware of was that when they are unpacked they look like they can be unscrewed. DO NOT DO THAT! I made this mistake by breaking the contact wires. None of them even turned on fully and it didn't work. After that, it is impossible to repair them.
