I added a Polk CS10 center channel to our new family room which already had 4 ceiling speakers but no center channel or subwoofer. According to reviews, Revain chose the CS10 model. I connected it to a Sony DN1060 amplifier and a Polk PSW10 subwoofer. Our family room is about 30 x 40 feet which is quite good and it also opens onto a very large kitchen and dining area. Center channel speakers truly do the lion's share of the work in any home theater, and this Polk CS10 is ready to take on the challenge. The wooden cabinet is strong and heavy, which I think will provide years of service without the vibrating noise that comes with cheaper speakers. I chose black for my application and like to leave the cloth sleeve in place. I had to add an adapter to my application between RCA and the two separate wires this speaker uses and that's really not a problem. These adapters are easy to assemble yourself and can also be found online. This speaker does a great job in my home theater. It delivers a very rich sound - by no means tinny or cheap, but not boomy either (subwoofer mode). We hear movies a bit louder than regular TV programs and they fill the room well. I have a Bose 5.1 system in another room and of course it does a great job but I wouldn't say it's far ahead. System that accompanies this CS10.
