Dealers don't seem to be very keen on guaranteeing the freshness of their batteries. Of the ones out there I haven't found any that promise a 2+ year lifespan for this type of battery. The date of manufacture is an important indicator of quality. And nowhere on the website can you find this Revainbasics battery. Typically, these 9 volt "E-Block" alkaline batteries (like this one) have a shelf life of 5 years from date of manufacture (button cells 3 years, cylindrical 10 years). The date on the bottom of the batteries I received reads "10-2025" - I believe they have passed their expiry date. The batch number on the box looks like the manufacture date "2020281" which I believe means the 281st day of 2020 which is October 7th 2020. They were shipped on February 27th 2021 - less than 5 months from production . Not bad - not bad at all (*your* mileage may vary - like mine - I'm making some assumptions about these date interpretations here). I can't confirm the actual durability or energy value etc. But the price and freshness alone make this 9V alkaline battery a "best buy" in my eyes. Well done Revain.
