I've had them for about a week now and so far they're doing a great job! I used to sleep like a log, I could be beaten in Times Square in New York and if I was tired I could fall asleep. I sleep well these days, but when a mouse burps three miles away I wake up. And not just woke up - woke up. Most of the time I can fall asleep again if my surroundings are completely quiet, but I share a bed with a human and a chainsaw-like dog, so my bedroom is never quiet. I also travel a lot for work and hotels are always noisy for me. I used to be able to block out everything with these silicone ear tips, they worked great for years, but lately my sleep has become much more sensitive and they just weren't enough. I went looking for something new and tried foam ear tips. No, they fell out of my ear. I've tried some very trendy (expensive) titanium concert earplugs. No, only the snoring got less loud but clearer, I really felt the emotion behind the whales singing in my bed. I then tried a white noise machine, but it didn't completely drown out the noise, interfering with the human chainsaw. So I went to the White Noise app on my phone, put on my headphones and found Nirvana! The white noise app (I actually use brown noise) was perfect in the sense that it was constant and didn't have a music-like melody that would either make me sing along or wake me up if there was a loud song change. He muffled the snoring and didn't bother anyone. The downside was that I slept in all sorts of weird positions trying not to hurt my ears with the headphones. I sleep on my side and on my stomach so it was brutal. I stumbled across them and thought they were worth it. I ordered wired rather than wireless because 1) I'm cheap and 2) I'm lazy so I'll forget to charge the wireless device. The cord on them is very long and comes out the back of the strap so I plug it into my phone and the phone into a very long charging cord behind the nightstand. I then slip my phone into the cover of the second pillow, the one behind the actual one I actually use, and so far I haven't gotten confused or accidentally turned it off, and I move around a lot when I sleep. I also went with the cheaper option to make sure they would actually fix my issue before spending more money on wireless devices. I doubted they would be loud enough to drown out my snoring boys while not bleeding out from the group and getting in the way of a human chainsaw. But they are, and now we're all sleeping peacefully. Well, usually, unless the dog chainsaw decides to take up 90% of the bed like it usually does, but that won't solve the problem. If they ever fail I'll definitely go with the wireless ones.
