Review on πŸŒ… Invigorate Your Mornings with Morning Star Jasmin Incense Sticks: Pack of 200 by Tiffany Smith

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Quality production, mediocre scent

I am an incense fanatic and I LOVE Nippon Kodo's Kayuragi incense line including Kayuragi Jasmine. This is so true that if you close your eyes you can easily imagine yourself sitting in a flower shop. He and the entire Kayuragi line are far more effective than Nippon Kodo's Morning Star line of incense care, including this Morning Star jasmine. But that's okay, an extra stick or two can easily make up for the loss in efficiency. What cannot be offset is the overuse of sandalwood in this Morning Star blend. Honestly, I think the incense should be called "Sandalwood with a Hint of Jasmine" and not just "Jasmine" because that's true, and it's true of some of Morning Star's other flowers as well. A previous reviewer noted the resemblance to the smell of incense sometimes used in Catholic Masses, and that's what they noticed - sandalwood (frankincense, myrrh and I think maybe a little bit of ambergris is what's actually used in Catholic churches and has no smell). very similar to sandalwood, but I understood immediately what the reviewer was talking about). Don't get me wrong, I love sandalwood, including Morning Star sandalwood! I'm actually doing what Nippon Kodo did with this Morning Star blend, blending sandalwood with various floral notes from the Kayuragi line, but the sandalwood to floral ratio in this "Jasmine" Morning Star (and some other Morning Star) removed. too high for my nose. It doesn't smell bad at all, but that wasn't what I was looking for when I bought "Jasmine" incense sticks. Hints of floral scents, this Morning Star Jasmine and many other floral Morning Star scents will give you endless pleasure. If you're looking for a purely floral scent that's true to life, I think something from the Kayuragi line would suit you better. You will be grateful if I tell you about the indescribably wonderful aroma that can be obtained by blending a Cayuragi rose stick with a Cayuragi green tea stick! Other exquisite blends include White Peach Cayuragi with Sandalwood Cayuragi, Osmanthus Cayuragi with Narcissus Cayuragi, and Wisteria Cayuragi with Jasmine Cayuragi, and adding a dab of Aloewood Cayuragi to any of these blends makes them even better! smell happiness! My rating is based on the excellent workmanship, which I believe applies to all the different Nippon Kodo incense series, five stars for that, and on my subjective perception of the fragrance, one star for that, because although the smell is not unpleasant when I "Jasmine " Burn incense, I want to smell jasmine, not sandalwood with a hint of jasmine. Average: three stars. I hope some of you find my review helpful when shopping your nose at Revain! Peace be with all readers :-)
