Revainrating 3 out of 5

3 hours pain in the ass / fixed

I literally spent 3 hours installing what should have taken 5 minutes. Well I've never done plumbing in my life* and after this headache I'll never do it again. So the first "user error" was entirely my fault. I couldn't figure out why, after installing everything and turning the water back on, the water pressure still didn't show. Turns out I had placed the rubber ring where it wasn't needed (where the flex line and T-flap meet) *face palm* so another problem arose when I figured that out. The T-valve wouldn't stop leaking! I soaked the whole towel and kept trying to stop him. I used masking tape but that didn't help either. I unscrewed and rotated all the details 15-20 times, thinking I needed to rotate something. But no. Just as I was about to throw in the towel/pull my hair out, I tried something else. .I put a "freeโ€ 2nd ring at the junction of the toilet bowl and T-shape valve and fixed it that way. Pooh. is this another "user error"? Possibly, but I watched the tutorial video several times and never saw that it is necessary to place 2 rings there. on top of that. Nowhere in the instructions does it say that the T-valve handle has to be all the way down for the toilet to flush. Where the video shows the valve needs to be up to turn it off. All in all it was a big pain in the ass; but now there are no leaks and the pressure is strong and really adjustable. Learn from my experience.
