Super cute but the pillow is useless for small birds

I bought this for my family of companion finches as there are 5 of them and they love sleeping together (also wanted an open nest so that I can be sure no new eggs are laid). Whilst I liked the idea of the in-shell pillow it doesn't stay very hygienic for long as little birds poop on everything and the pillow is very absorbent so I took it off and gave my birds a different bedding that I could easily clean . Otherwise it works great
