The BEST mini bike pump is a little different than most on the market, and in a very good way. First, there is a flexible hose that connects the pumping equipment to the tire's stem/valve, allowing for a few inches of flexibility when inflating and making the job a lot easier. The flex rod is then stowed in the pump body, giving the pump a very slim look with nothing hanging down to the side. There's also a built-in pressure gauge that pops out of hiding in the flexible hose when tire pressure approaches 20psi. (thick) or Presta tube stem/valve (thin/French). I've never seen this feature on mini pumps and really appreciate it. All the pumps I've come across have a rubber compression ring in the part that attaches to the tube valve. and that damn pump is completely slipping off the valve. The BEST pump solved all of these problems with its thread design. One of the last design features that struck me upon first use is the amazing lack of air leakage when the flexible hose is attached to and removed from the hose valve. Inside the flexible tubing is a tiny rubber cuff that seals the airway while the pump is screwed on and off the tubing. When riding on small/thin tires and using a regular hand pump, I seem to be losing more air than I can pump. I think with this new BETTER pump this problem is completely solved.
