The light is so dim you need several to create noticeable outdoor lighting for photography. It's actually nothing more than a glow stick. I walked (and stood) up a mountain with this light hoping they would help bring some extra light (just a little sparkle in the eyes etc) to the couple I was photographing in those moments just after sunset. , but I found at usable distances (4-10 feet from subject) this light is almost invisible. I tested the light indoors in low light before going out, but want to test it outdoors just after sundown before carrying it and stand back and forth for a few miles. It seems underpowered for anything other than near pitch black conditions or being a few inches from your subject, neither of which I find very useful. unfortunately completely useless.
