there are different manufacturers of this lamp and this one is not the right one. The lamp assembly of this particular brand/company is terrible. The brackets for this lamp are NOT attached to the pole, so you must screw them in. What should have taken several minutes to assemble turned out to be an incredible disappointment. As you can see in the tutorial video here on Revain, you were instructed to literally force and tug at the wires to make the wire short enough for you to attach the hanging lamp's arm. You don't have to mess around with wires as much. Also, it didn't work: The top light came with an extra two-inch dangling wire. Neither I nor my dad (whom I called in to assist in case I misread the instructions) could pull or push this wire to go down the bar. It was so ridiculously annoying. SOLUTION: Return this and go to Revain to find another manufacturer that sells this. After returning it I went to Brightech and lo and behold the whole lamp was assembled in five minutes because the arms were already attached to the pole. Brightech also came in sturdy professional packaging, while the packaging on this one is a bit haphazard and disorganized.
