Satisfied!: Hobs

This is my first time buying an infrared burner/oven and I am impressed. (I'm not sure if calling it a "hot oven" is correct). The advantage of using infrared instead of induction is that no 'special' cookware is required. It works with everything; I didn't have to buy new cookware like I would have bought an induction cookware. It looks great, works great, is easy to use and easy to clean. I haven't used all the settings yet, so I can't comment on all of them. I've used the Hot Pot, Deep Fried, and Water settings and have been happy with them. The Hot Pot setting is great for boiling a 3 quart pot of pasta water; just turn the power up to 1500. I've always had trouble with this task on my other burners; they took too long. I use the kettle water setting. Although the burner is noisy; I do not mind. It also lists the temperature in C instead of F. If you turn off the burner, it still makes noise due to the fan running, but you can just turn it off. Careful, it stays hot for a while. It finally stops about 10 minutes after cooling. The instruction manual could have been a bit better. For me this is by no means an obstacle. I've only had the device for about 2 months, but I'm very happy with it. If this changes in the future I will update this. I currently recommend that.
