Review on 🔥 Dorman 973-409 HVAC Blower Motor Resistor Kit: High-Performance Upgrade for Cadillac, Chevrolet & GMC Models by Gary Flick

This part was listed for my Avalanche. However, GM, in its boundless wisdom, decided to prank self-repair enthusiasts and made this part in both left-hand and right-hand versions. There is a bracket that this part fits into and then bolts on. Also, the 7-pin connector is slightly angled on the old part, and straight on the new one. The tabs that hold the part in the bracket are also warped, and the new part was mostly warped to the opposite side. I plug it in to make sure it works in my truck, which it did. So I modified the bracket by cutting off some of the sides and trimming the part to fit. I screwed it on and it works great. Because it's hidden under the fan motor cover, no one will ever see it unless it needs to be replaced on the go.
