Review on Hoanan Military Tactical Metal Webbing by William Byrd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

they are great, the best. 1.25 " width is a win

I'm tired of wearing animal skins, wanted a non-leather belt that worked better than the fabric belts I've tried So, tactical belts, I tried the 1.5" with a web buckle, but it was a bit wider than I like and the web buckles are slow and cumbersome. So not my belt solution. Checked many other options that I won't dissect I bought a more expensive belt like this one and it was amazing. But I lost it which reminded me I needed a partner for my disorganized personality. So I bought these cheaper ones. Although the mechanism is the same ch works, the design is slightly different. The other was box-shaped with an opening and closing flap. While the difference in looks is negligible at best, the other one looked a little sharper somehow, probably because it was more of a standalone box and it's a bit more expansive. However, this valve model would also pinch if not careful. Not cool. Belts should never be a source of PTSD. The way it works is never overwhelming. It also works much more naturally and faster, so at half the price it's an excellent design and a clear winner. The pins on the clasp are slightly shorter than the other side due to the mounting method. Gave me a brief break but the YKK plastic is durable and having owned/used a lot for a while it doesn't look like a problem and I think they will be long lasting. This belt is easily the fastest belt I've ever had. ever seen. By loosening with a handle, the sling is in front of the belt and that's it. To secure it, simply push in and it snaps securely into place. There has never been a faster and more natural strap design. And the stepless adjustment is just a better world, reminding you how awkward the old pinhole design of straps used to be. After finding my solution for a belt for life, I ordered more. I've looked at so many belts at Revain. I don't know why most people gravitate towards 1.5" when 1.25" goes through the belt loops so much faster. But suppose there is only one right choice, and here it is. For example, there may be more packaging options for all colors. Clipping. I don't have one yet, but if/if I do, even if the side you're supposed to cut off isn't visible, I'll still burn it with heat so it doesn't wear out. Also 2 straps come in a small pouch which I will probably never use for straps again but will come in handy for nick nats. And an update after getting my extra straps: I now have all three strap designs, ribbed, finely woven and hatched. The difference is mainly in appearance. Ribbed might have the (nylon) plastic look, but in the end I think that's my preference. The fine weave is more cotton-like to the touch, in my opinion. Cross - that's it. As for the styling, I think I might like it on black but not thrilled with brown, trivial but just not thrilled with how it's reflected on it. I think the ribbed design is the easiest to close, while the fine weave is the thickest, so the hardest to close in relative terms. Although they all open/close more easily over time. Not that it's ever difficult, but when new it's more of a press. I've owned the fluted one for the longest time and really like its light action. Functionality is probably best suited to provide more tooth engagement without increasing occlusal resistance in thickness. But it mostly comes down to style, and it doesn't make much of a difference anyway. Haven't gotten around to wearing the little weave yet so can't tell if I prefer it or the ribbed design. Anyway thanks to the company for providing my perfect belt.
