The advantage of the magnetic charging cable is the quick and easy connection and I can use many devices with different cable types with the same cable. The downside is that the magnetic head that I plug into my phone breaks quite often. I've thrown away at least five in the last six months. You also need to make sure it's charging because if the connector head has failed you won't notice until you check later.
