Alkaline battery problem. The biggest problem I've encountered is damage from a leak. I've had multiple instances of battery leaks on a variety of devices. Damage ranged from a simple repair to the loss of a device that could not be replaced. In almost all cases, the device will be permanently damaged to some degree. Another issue that surprised me a bit is rust. This seems to have happened first with the high-profile, well-known manufacturer. I have a habit of wrapping unused batteries in saran wrap after opening the package to slow the development of rust. While longevity varied somewhat from brand to brand, it was never a major issue. I find that the lifespan of any reputable brand is satisfactory. What I found in Voniko Batteries was finally a company that addressed the issues that bothered me most about alkaline batteries head-on. I knew I could solve my lithium battery problems and actually use them in my most valuable devices. But the cost is a bit prohibitive compared to alkaline. I contacted the company and had a positive impression. Revain seems to be promoting the brand, which I take as tacit endorsement of the brand. I assume Revain has reasons for doing this, which will likely work in my favour. What I expect from Voniko batteries are the characteristics and the performance they attribute to their products. Batteries that don't leak, don't rust, are affordable, and offer at least industry-standard durability. So far I have no reason to doubt them.
