I ran some tests. these are awesome!

I decided to test the performance of this battery by first depleting it completely, then recharging it while measuring the voltage at scheduled intervals. (See attached photo). Note that my multimeter gives the depleted voltage in millivolts so it’s actually reading 0.0002V. But after just five minutes on the charger, it already came back to 6.97V. From there the voltage inched it’s way back up, but it really didn’t change substantially. It’s not perfectly constant, but this battery gives a…

Pros
  • Provides excellent value for money
Cons
  • May not hold up well under heavy use

So far so good best in my review

I just got these a couple weeks ago. I charged them overnight and put one of them in my bathroom scale. It seems to be working great. I bought a wonderful little battery tester for about $7 at Harbor Freight and used it to test the other three. They are hot hot! Every one of them was bouncing off the end of the green when I tested them. I highly recommend getting a battery tester. I will know more after I use them in various gadgets but so far I really like them and I love the way they charge…

Pros
  • great solution for smoke detectors.no more buying batteries every year.
Cons
  • They cannot hold a sustainable amperage so not good for mechanical operations.

Really cool product. Big money saver!

Very cool product. Bought them for my TENS unit. After using a energizer battery for a couple days I used the new rechargeables for the fish time. At full charge the 1st battery lasted only a day of use. And there was no dwindling of power. It was just done. The second battery is in the unit now and has been going for over two days! And all the others are charged and ready. Great value. Awesome product.

Pros
  • i am using for smoke detectors
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all chargers

An oversized rechargeable battery, with hidden "features ".

I bought this 4 pack of rechargeable 9V batteries because my electric and bass guitar have active pick-ups, and so have to be replaced every few weeks, or 2 months tops. They all charged okay, but I have no idea what the life on these are because all 4 had to be mashed into the battery bracket under tension. After turning on the amp, could hear the electric and bass guitars tone come through, but also a high pitched whining in the background whether notes were being played or not. Happened with

Pros
  • EBL is a good quality product
Cons
  • More expensive than standard 9V batteries

Recharagable 9 volts

I use them in my smoke detectors , replace them once a year ,the store bought throw away batteries cost about $5 for one that gets expensive when you have a lot of smoke detectors ,the company claims they can be recharged 1000 plus times , they save me money over a long period of time and will more pay for themselves in the long run they are also approved by the Underwriters laboratory for use in smoke and carbon monoxide. Detectors

Pros
  • USB Charging Design
Cons
  • May not hold a charge as long as advertised

On First Recharge, Wouldn't Fully Charge

Prior to purchasing these 9v. batteries, I had already bought an EBL charger & other EBL batteries. After buying these 9 v., I pirchased a pack of 28 AAA EBL batteries. I always charge my brand new batteries to top them off. When I checked the AAA's after that initial charge (18 hours) my charger showed them to have only a 2/3 charge. I charged one 9 v. batt. (the only one used at all) for 24 hours, only to find it would not take a full charge, either. This was the first charge after the top…

Pros
  • Working as expected. Looking forward to not spending any more money on disposable 9v batteries.
Cons
  • May stop holding a charge after several uses

Excellent Batteries For Saving The Planet!

I have 4 Smoke Detectors in my house and I got tired of constantly buying new Name-Brand or Dollar Store 9 Volt batteries! So I bought these EBL USB Rechargeable 9 Volt Lithium Batteries and they are great! When my Smoke Detectors begin to beep, because the batteries are low, I take out the 9 Volt EBL Rechargeable Batteries and charge them. They take about 30 minutes to charge, which I do about every 3 to 4 months! For those of you who haven't noticed! The really great thing about these…

Pros
  • Improved lifespan compared to standard alkaline batteries
Cons
  • May require a compatible charger

Not as advertised! -- but exceptional customer service

I purchased these having had great results with EBL batteries for several years. However, these will not power devices that actually require 9 volts. I did not realize this until I charged them up in preparation to use them, only to find out that they maxed out at 8.2 volts.and then dropped quickly to 7 volts after a short period of storage in a drawer. I must state that I am very disappointed in how EBL and Revain marketed these batteries!I am past the return window, so I'm out of luck…

Pros
  • Well worth the money.
Cons
  • USB port may break off after prolonged use

May not work for all applications

I just received these today and conducted a quick test with a digital multimeter. After giving it fifteen minutes to settle after charging, a fully charged 9V EBL battery puts out 8.23V compared to 9.51V from a Duracell Procell alkaline battery — that’s a whopping 1.3V less, and could cause problems with some voltage-sensitive devices. The only critical application in my case is with an electronic lock on a safe, and it works fine at that voltage. However, the Bluetooth app that communicates…

Pros
  • I use 9 volt batteries infrequently.Nice to have batteries charged and ready to use when I need them.
Cons
  • They cannot hold a sustainable amperage so not good for mechanical operations.

They aren't 9V. Only 8.29-8.34V max. Not suitable for smoke alarms

Six months ago I started using these in one of my smoke alarms. Since then, I have suffered the dreaded "chirping smoke alarm in the middle of the night while I am trying to sleep" issue THREE times. I.e., I have had to replace/recharge the batteries once every two months!I believe I know the reason now. After charging the batteries, they only get up to 8.29-8.34V. After two months, the battery voltage drops to 8.0V. It's a reasonable rate of discharge, but since it starts at a low voltage to…

Pros
  • Improved capacity means more extended periods between charges
Cons
  • May not be reliable in a power surge

Dont last in smoke detectors

Bought a 4 pack for smoke detectors. Unfortunately they dont last long in there. Put them in roughly a month ago. Already having to charge them again. Was hoping for around 6 months or so. However, they are rechargeable. So that is definitely a positive. Update. I increased the review to 4 stars. A representative contacted me and they sent me 4 replacements at no cost to me.So with the extra 4. I can keep those charged and just swap as needed. So I'm happy with them overall. Considering they…

Pros
  • So far these work great. Need more time for honest review.
Cons
  • Charging may take longer than expected

Musician's dream in my review

I am a musician and use 9v batteries for my wireless mic and guitar. For years I have bought new Duracell batteries for every show ($10 a pop). I have used every brand including typical rechargeables. They never last a 4 hour show witho

Pros
  • Reduces landfill waste when compared to disposable batteries
Cons
  • May have limited compatibility with certain devices

Less than 57% of claimed capacity.

These EBL 9V batteries have a claimed capacity of 5400mWh (= 600mAh @ 9V), however, the measured capacities of all four batteries was between 315mAh and 338mAh, i.e. between 52% and 57% of the claimed capacity (see Test methods below). After 3 charge-discharge cycles there was no significant change in capacity in any of the batteries. On the plus side, all the batteries stayed within 1% of their stated 9 Volts throughout the discharge cycles until they were almost exhausted.Test methods:A…

Pros
  • Consistent power delivery from full to empty batteries
Cons
  • May not provide as much power as advertised

Great batterys buying a secound round of Ebl 9vs

Batterys are great but in the future you might wanna stick to one color for the fully charged light. First time i boughy them they had a blue light for the charged ligjt now the secound time i buy them the charged light ia green. Pick a color man. Manual says blue.

Pros
  • Better performance in extreme temperatures compared to other batteries
Cons
  • May not be widely available in stores

50/50 Buzz in one guitar not the other

1 Acoustic Guitar with aftermarket pickup from Guitar Center pickup buzzes when using this battery☹️ but works great in Ovation pickup🙂

Pros
  • High-capacity design allows for extended battery life
Cons
  • May need to be replaced more frequently than other batteries

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So far so good. good for me

Bought these for the pickups on my acoustic guitars and my pedals prior to reading the other reviews. So far, I'm not seeing (hearing) the noise others are describing. All my acoustic and electric guitars sound fine, just like a normal 9v. Jury is still out on how long they last though.

Pros
  • Haven't had long enuf to judge longevity
Cons
  • Takes longer to charge than traditional batteries

Charge lasts a month in the carbon monoxide alarm

Update: great customer support, I haven't even asked for a refund but I received one because I wasn't satisfied with their product.I only used it in the carbon monoxide alarm and have to charge it every month, which is very annoying. I didn't want to buy disposable but this is not a good replacement at all.

Pros
  • Health & Household
Cons
  • USB port may become loose or damaged over time

These 9. Volt rechargeable batteries are the ones you want!

I wanted some rechargeable 9 volt batteries for Guitar Effects pedals. I had been looking and even purchased another brand but read a review that EBL were better as the other brand was not working out for one eviewer who had both brands. I cancelled that order and looked up EBL. I got the 4 pack for almost the price I was going to pay for two of the other brand. After about an hour after charging I measured the Voltage on the EBLs. I measured 9.6 volts to 9.4 which is excellent! Other brands…

Pros
  • Working as expected. Looking forward to not spending any more money on disposable 9v batteries.
Cons
  • May not be recyclable in all areas

Perfect replacement

I dont go through many 9V batteries and theyre pretty pricey but i do have a couole items that require them and these rechargeables have been a life saver

Pros
  • I use 9 volt batteries infrequently.Nice to have batteries charged and ready to use when I need them.
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all devices

Dodgy Labeling. Also Not for my active pickups bass guitar

First, about the "5400mWh". Oddly, this battery is measured in miliwatts. This is marketing bs so people see large number and jump on it. Usually small batteries are measured in "mAh". This means that if converted from watts to amperes (5400/9=600). So these batteries are actually 600mAh which is actually nothing special for Li-Ion batteries. So if you think you getting a ridiculously high capacity battery. Not really. It is a nice capacity still comparing to disposables or NiMh batteries which

Pros
  • Easy-to-store design saves space in drawers or bags
Cons
  • May not be a reliable source of power in critical situations
