This charger saved our safari!

This was almost an afterthought. Since I was on a 2 week trip to Botswana, Okavango, Chobe etc. instead of two very small LP-E6 chargers which I usually toss in my bag due to their small size and weight, I decided to pack this last third charger. dual party charger; I needed an LCD display as time was short with AC power. (Most of the time we slept in tents in the back seats (4x4), and the only available power for a few days was a 12v accessory outlet. It ended up being a lifesaver for the four of us on the trip. We knew we it's a long time between sockets, we knew Botswana had their own socket and packaged unique adapters, but we just didn't really understand what it would all entail. On the first day one of our group lost most of his LP -Inventory E6 to the Air Police, he sadly checked them and they were removed I had enough to share but suddenly my math calculations for the number of batteries versus the time we would go without power were off The guide who packed the fuji kit had trouble charging all of his batteries, he only had a fuji ac charger, i borrowed the batteries again this time from az fuji who i bought from also only had 3, two 3rd party OEMs and these little Fujis drain batteries about 6 times or more faster than a Canon DSLR. Charge TWO batteries at the same time, NOT in series. We were able to run a fleet of LP-E6s for Ollie, Liz and I without AC power for 7 days. What about Fuji? Well, it turns out that the pocket-sized charger I threw in my Fuji bag wasn't the original and, well, it was a cheap Chinese "Wasabi" branded device. And guess what, the Wasabi uses the SAME interchangeable plates as the Neewer Dual Battery Charger! So we had a choice: two LP-E6s at the same time, or one LP-E6 and one Fuji at the same time. Using DC power, it took about 2 hours to fully charge the two batteries. The device is also equipped with a USB port. We used this to keep phones/Kindles on. I could also use it to power my USB powered "Nitecore" LP-E6 charger i.e. one cigarette lighter socket charges 3 lithium ion batteries at the same time :) That was four years ago and has been since i use it I would highly recommend this charger, there is a lot more info than the OEM, looks a bit like an AA LaCrosse charger for your LP-E6 and once you have it you can swap out the plates for any number of batteries and use for two different styles at the same time. Like insoles, many brands use the same insole system. Wasabi, Neewer, DSTE, STK, Dot 01, Power2000, Premium Tech, Wintergarten, LP, BM Premium, Fotga, Kastar, Fomito etc.
