I just got it working with my new Blackberry Bold 9780. I've verified that it can back up with the Blackberry Desktop Software and I see a small loading icon when connected to my computer. . Both ends are permanently connected to the computer and Blackberry. I've seen a number of reviews on other products stating that cables don't always work perfectly so I wanted to let everyone know that this product seems to be pretty kosher. I will be buying a second one to keep in my desk drawer just in case. Update: It's also great to carry around to charge your Kindle! You can easily connect your Kindle to your computer, and because it's so compact, it saves a lot of space compared to a Kindle cable and charger.
