We have a dog that is approaching her 13th birthday and is having a hard time getting up and down off the couch. This bed has been her new couch and she loves it. This is by far the best dog bed that I have purchased EVER! I have even purchased the anxiety calming bed but the dogs prefer this one. if you have a pup with hip problems, this is a great bed.Pros:The padding is very thick and holds up even when I lay on it (180lbs myself!).The cover comes off easily and is machine washable.The bolster along the sides is a separate pillow on the inside and easy to put back together.Cover is soft and not too warm.Large but light weight. (just awkward to move)Cons:Because the pad is so thick. the only bad thing is that it takes up a bunch of room and is not easy to move/travel with. I just bought a different bed for the back of the car or anywhere else that I wanted another dog bed.
