Review on Google Pixelbook Go: A Sleek & Lightweight Chromebook Laptop with Extended Battery Life & Touch Screen - Just Black by Faliere Jorge

Easy to carry, impossible to use

I bought the Pixelbook Go because I liked the light weight and the simple operating system. My previous device was an old MacBook and I was hoping for a similar experience without the high price and unnecessary functionality. I need a device for applications like Microsoft Word and PowerPoint as well as Google Docs. After using this device for a few weeks, I was ready to throw it in the lake. There is a 3 second delay in both Microsoft Word and Google Docs when I edit or type a word. In Microsoft Word, I can add comments until the comments list fills the screen vertically. Then clicking on the "Send Comment" button doesn't work anymore. I can't even insert an image into PowerPoint. (It's the only thing I tried before exiting the program.) I choose Insert > Pictures > Photos and select the picture I want. When I click 'Open' I get a black background screen with a disappearing button in the lower right corner that says 'Done'. The button appears for a split second, but you can't click it. I can't find any other way to insert an image. In general, even the simplest and most important tasks are frustrating and/or impossible on this device. Netflix works fine. If you literally just need a lightweight laptop that you can lay on your stomach while you watch your favorite shows in bed, this is a solid choice. I plan to return this unit and get a Macbook Air.
