I really like this panel as it provides a clean set of switches to control my suburban propane/electric water heater. I was able to install it flush in the kitchen next to the water heater for easy access and good visibility. Wiring was very easy and it works exactly as expected. A few notes: Depending on your water heater model, you may need to add a relay between the switch and the water heater's 110V terminal. You should not supply 110V through this switch. My particular Suburban water heater did not have a relay and was intended to be connected directly to 110v. If the wire was connected directly you would control it with a switch on the front of the water heater. The problem for me is that the switch is on the outside of the trailer and I wanted to turn it on or off from inside the trailer. I added a solid state relay to control with this switch and it works great. When I'm done with the trailer, I simply turn off the main switch on the front of the water heater. Also note that if your water heater does not include a relay and is designed to connect directly to a 110V source, the light will not work when powered by electricity. this display only indicates a problem when using propane gas. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning.
