broken switch in my RV. When looking at replacement parts, the dealer cost was three times higher for the same item. Bought a few more just in case, but so far everything looks and works well.

I bought a switch so my wife can turn off the light above the bed in our RV. The switch works great and is easy to install. Keep in mind that even though it's on the surface, it requires a hole for the wires and the back of the switch needs to be below the surface.

I removed the star because when soldering the wire to the terminal, the plastic around the terminal began to melt and loosen. The plastic melted in front of my solder! It shouldn't melt so easily. After that it didn't work. I'll disassemble it and see if I can fix it.

Worked well. Follow the minimum hole size guidelines. Depending on the material you are cutting, you will need screws of the appropriate length/size. I used screw #6 and it worked fine. For my application I soldered the wires to the connectors on the back panel. I prefer as this method provides a good mechanical and electrical connection. Retractable terminals should also work.

Don't like that you have to use spade connectors which are not included and add them to your wiring to be able to connect to the back of the switch. Then I noticed that every time I used the switch, the circuit would break. Then the one on the other side of the RV did the same. This is not my wiring as I made a direct connection and everything works fine. Not worth the money and not recommended.

Works as expected. Corresponds to the original in my 2007 Winnebago Access 29T. I just wish there was a way for me to gloss over the switch's description like the original. Using a label printer doesn't look that great. I also drilled a hole in one corner of the front panel and added a red LED that lights up when the circuit is on. LED from this list.

Love the look and easy installation of this switch. The only thing I don't like is that when I turn on the switch, the element doesn't always turn on. But simply turning it off and on again seems to always (or almost always) turn the Element on. I installed it for a small 12v fan to cool the cabinet with a convection microwave which seems to get the cabinet a little hotter than I would like.

This is an identical replacement for Grand Design OEM switches. I had the dealer install a fan in the bedroom of my new RV. They were powered by a light switch controlled by the switch, so the fan only turned on when the switch was turned on along with the lights (yes, that's right). So I bought two of these and lined them up for each light so I could turn the lights on and off individually. They came in quickly after creating and setting up the holes. These are not hot switches.
