Both ears are not connected

Update I've had them for 3 months now. They're still good, but now they don't connect to each other. I followed the instructions without turning off my phone. They still don't mate. I want to hear with both ears, but I can't either. This has to be the best way to do it, or it has to give you the ability to hear on your phone with both ears.
