Best on cats too sticky

I have bought other cat scratch protection products in the past and they were sticky on one side (to stick to furniture) but not on one side side the side that faces out. This side was just a hard acrylic product. Not so with this one. It's a roll of double-sided tape, period. Both sides are very sticky. The stickiness on the outside is to deter the cat from scratching it. But... phew. It grabs every bit of dirt, dust, and cat hair to create a fluffy, messy streak. Terrible. Don't waste money.
