Very easy to use and install. The reamer's bolt holes are intentionally empty, meaning there are no threads. It literally took 3 minutes to unbox and install without an extension cord. The gate is very strong, for hollow pipes, and quite well designed. Very easy to use and the "stay open" feature is great! Now this pet door is not childproof. The lock is very easy to understand for a one year old and the opening is large enough for a two year old. and simply replace the lock with a bolt. If you cut out the rod closest to the hinge, the hole will only be about 4.5 to 5 inches wide and about 7 inches high. Great for cats and kids can't get through. Just smooth out the cuts and use some spray paint and you won't even notice it's a cut. The gate is so well made that you won't have any issues if the product needs to be returned so I wouldn't worry too much about voiding the warranty.
