I received this product from De Quervain because of the tendonitis mentioned in the product description. Most parts of the orthosis are soft and very comfortable. But there is a hard knotted suture that presses on the exact spot at the base of the thumb where the tendons are inflamed. Unfortunately, the orthosis (one size) was too big, so I had to cut off a piece. Strap to wear it which meant I was stuck on it and couldn't get it back. So I tried all sorts of things like removing the metal support, not tightening the top strap, and adding extra padding, but nothing worked. On the contrary, after a few hours of wearing, the pain increased significantly. So if you are looking for a brace that helps with De Quervain's tendonitis, DO NOT buy it!
