I wanted to equip our guest bathrooms with coat hooks. But I didn't want to ruin the wood with screws. The nice thing is that the mounting plate is attached to the hanger but there is a small set screw at the back, and the mounting plate is flat and beveled on the ends. I noticed that when the set screw is locked, the plate is flush with the rear hook. So I used the 3M Command Removable Tape. I placed it on the mounting plate and then attached the mounting plate to the door. I let it dry for an hour to adjust and then carefully screwed on the hook knot. I had to shorten the tab a bit so it doesn't protrude from underneath but can still be retrieved later to remove if the woman decides to do the repair again. A nice touch for guests when your builder has neglected little things like coat hooks in bathrooms.
