Review on Nikon COOLPIX S31 Waterproof Digital Camera - 10.1 MP with 720p HD Video (White) - (OLD MODEL) by Terrance Castle

After researching MANY waterproof digital cameras I finally settled on this one and was not disappointed. I bought this camera to use not only for snorkeling and underwater adventures but also just for beach and pool photography. It works very well - a huge improvement over the disposable underwater cameras I bought while on vacation. I used it in the Cayman Islands for a week and had no problems at all. Underwater shots were mostly very bright and clear. I even used it to take some sunset shots and the colors of the sky came out beautifully. I read some reviews where people complained that it doesn't take good pictures at night. I haven't used this camera at night so I can't comment on that, but don't let that put you off as this camera is mainly used underwater during the day. In order for this camera to work properly, I followed the advice of other reviewers and rinsed the camera with fresh water every day after a visit to the ocean or pool. It is also important to keep sand out of the chamber to avoid trigger sticking.
