Review on Philips 242B9T Capacitive Touch Screen Monitor - Full HD, USB Hub, Built-In Speakers, Flicker-Free IPS, Perfect for Computers by Alan Puccio

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice hardware - Responsive touchscreen - Brightness just so-so

- I just received my monitor which arrived earlier than expected. Delivery only took 4 days. - The Philips monitor arrived in its own Philips branded packaging, not a box that was packaged in a Revain box. - The monitor was securely packed in the box. - The monitor showed no signs of damage or damage. signs of wear. This is a brand new monitor. There is NO HDMI cable in the monitor. My main requirements when buying a touchscreen monitor are: o A large touchscreen monitor that can be tilted when I choose to work at my desk. my computero A monitor with a sturdy stand that folds almost horizontallyo A monitor with a cable management system that allows me to adjust the height and physical configuration of the monitor without touching or opening the cableo A touchscreen monitor that fits in can be rotated to portrait mode if needo A monitor with a touchscreen that is precise and responsive to touch and behaves the same as my smartphone's touchscreen. . I connected the monitor to my laptop using the USB A-to-B cable that came with it and an extra HDMI cable I had.* I didn't have to download any drivers or anything. My laptop immediately recognized that I connected a monitor. My laptop settings allowed me to recognize the monitor as my primary monitor. I then used my laptop's display as an additional extended display.* The screen is smooth glass from edge to edge and feels comfortable to move around* The stand moves very smoothly. You can grab the sides of the screen and rotate/adjust the monitor as needed.* YouTube videos look amazing. Cons: x My laptop is rated at 220 nits and the description for the Philips monitor says 250 nits. However, the monitor is not as bright as my laptop screen. The colors are a little fuzzy. White is warmer than on a laptop. x The speakers sound terrible. Just choose the best Bluetooth speaker set. Features: *Although audio must be connected via HDMI, I found in my laptop's Bluetooth settings that this monitor is available to connect Bluetooth audio*

Pros
  • We have been looking for this item for a long time, it works great!
Cons
  • It's not a bad monitor, but the glare is terribly bad.
