Review on 🔪 KA-BAR 1217S Leather Sheath with USMC Logo | 7" Blade Knife | Brown by Marc Stewart

this sheath looks high quality and fits my cabaret knife perfectly. except for the handle lock. wondering if anyone has any ideas on this. My Kabar knife is the official Navy knife of the mid 1970's; a good friend gave it to me when he retired from the Marine Corps in 1978 or 1979 (so he probably got it in 1975 or so). The handle of this knife is completely round and the latch of the handle does not fit all the way around to close it. Wondering if anyone else is having this problem and if so what to do about it. The leather strip with the clasp is riveted to the belt loop so I can't easily replace it. Is the handle lock designed for a different knife handle shape? do i just have to jerk off a little together to make it work?
