Don't be discouraged if you're having trouble getting your laptop to recognize your new monitor. I spent two days downloading the drivers and restarting my computer to get my laptop to recognize the second screen. I followed the step-by-step instructions in the leaflet that came with it before contacting support. In a nutshell. when you look at your new monitor. You will see that there are TWO plugins. All I had to do was plug the cable into a different port and IT WORKS. Tech support was very helpful and nice. It would be helpful if the supplied how-to booklet mentioned something about SWITCHING PLUGINS in the troubleshooting section. Otherwise it's a good product and I look forward to using it.
