Review on Travel Berkey Filter Filters Fluoride by Mike Griffin

Love love love my Travel Berkey! I have a few friends who have been taking Berkeys for years, but I continue to use Aquasana. And Aquasana has helped my family over the years; However, it didn't filter the fluorine and that bothered me. So I decided to take Berkey. The Travel Berkey is the perfect size for me and my 2 teenage daughters. We use it out of the can all day. I'll refill if necessary. At night I empty it into the pitcher and refill it so we have water the next morning. It's also surprising that Berkey is actually a water purifier and not just a water filter. The water tastes really great. A word of warning here: make sure you turn the spout back to the off position before leaving the room! I emptied the Berkey and poured more water the next day. Luckily my daughter returned to the kitchen and saw water leaking onto the floor. I left my nose open and didn't notice! There would have been a gallon of water on the floor if she hadn't noticed. The Travel Berkey was very easy to assemble. The instructions are easy to understand. It takes a little time (maybe 30 minutes) but not difficult at all. The assembly required includes fitting a handle to the lid, flushing the filters before screwing them into the unit, and screwing the spout onto the unit. Everything is made by hand; Screwdrivers are not required. My spout never leaks, so hand tightening is definitely sufficient. I was learning the importance of keeping my body slightly alkaline, which is why I was dying for my drinking water to be alkaline. Water filtered by Aquasana had a pH of less than 7.0. I recently tested my Berkey water and am happy to report that it came in at an 8.0. I know that if I continue to take on the challenge of maintaining an alkaline environment, this will help me. Finally, the Travel Berkey is really small enough to fit in a suitcase. Of course he can't have clothes for a week in his suitcase, but it will fit. LAUGH OUT LOUD! I'll take it with me next time I visit my mum in the country because she uses tap water to make coffee and tea and her tap water tastes awful apart from all the nasty chemicals in the water. love Berkey and I plan to have one of these forever. The packaging was perfect and it arrived on time. I am a completely satisfied customer. And if you're wondering if I'm getting paid or a favor for such a rave review, the answer is no. I just want to give a good review on a product that I am very happy with because I really do rely on reviews when I shop and I think other people do too.
