It works! No more glare!
At this point I'm outside on my laptop and can read without glare! There are still a lot of bubbles on the screen since I didn't manage to align the footage perfectly, but they're barely noticeable when reading web content. My only negative comment is that the packaging should clearly state not to flex. The package was folded into a mailbox, so there are a few creases on the protective film.
