Eventually, no matter how hard I squeezed, I couldn't get rid of all the air bubbles. I don't have any air bubbles in the real screen area, but there are a few small ones around the edges. As soon as I put the iPad in the case, a few more air bubbles appeared around the edges. But I don't dare take off the protector I currently have as I feel it's as good as it gets and it easily lasted a good 10 minutes.
