I have connected a lot of gaming systems to an HDMI switch and wanted to use it to split the switch's output between my TV and capture card. And it worked great with consoles like Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo Switch (haven't tried it with PS4 or Xbox One). However, I also have an OSSC line doubler/upscaler for my retro consoles that don't natively have HDMI and this splitter did NOT work with it. I had loss of sync, no sound and garbled colors. And after just removing this splitter from my device chain, there were no more problems. I know my situation is pretty unusual so I'm still giving it 4 stars as it should work fine with more standard HDMI consoles, but retro gamers buy with caution.
